    We are searching for an Operations Engineer with strong previous experience with an oil & gas operator.

    You will need to have a thorough understanding of Water injection, Shutdowns, Permit to work, offshore production and utility systems together with previous and relevant offshore experience of fixed and or floating facilities, an understanding of and how to apply Safety Management Systems and Engineering Practices, the ability to provide operational direction to in-county staff; be able to react rapidly to unplanned situations and provide short and long term solutions and co-ordinate, plan, monitor and deliver all activities within remit. Finally you will need to understand commercial and financial issues to deliver all works within budget and schedule, Preferably you will have a Process engineering background. You should also possess a Degree in Engineering or related subject.

    This role would suit a Technician/Operator or above.

    On Call/Emergency Response duties may be required as part of this role.

    Your role will be to:

    To provide technical support for the West African overseas operation. Main responsibilities will be to provide day-to-day operations support in troubleshooting problems, identify opportunities to optimise production, and detailed planning and preparation of activities in West Africa. The role requires the individual to frequently visit West Africa to deliver and supervise workscopes during peak activity.

    The role is a key interface between in-country/offshore organisations and the Aberdeen organisation in terms of SHE, Production Operations, Facilities Engineering and Integrity Management support.

    You will be responsible for:
    * Initiating and managing 3rd party studies as required in support of operations;
    * Participating in HAZOPS and HAZIDS as required;
    * Supporting the start-up and integration of new projects;
    * Leading and managing Management of Change and Operating Procedure development and update.
    * Directing liaison with FPSO operators to understand and resolve technical matters.
    * Anticipating and monitoring future Operations requirements on existing assets, preparing operational engineering cost forecast to support budgets and long range planning.
    * Ensuring leadership and delivery of the annual SHE plans both for the client's operated facilities and leased FPSO operations.
    * Deploying engineering & operational standards/ procedures that meet both regulatory and safety standards within ALARP principles.
    * Working with the FPSO representatives and in-country Ops Superintendents to provide day to day support and direction to offshore production operations;
    * Providing short-term and long term solutions and undertaking operational investigations into operational defects and vulnerabilities.
    * Ensuring the operating and trouble shooting of process systems to maximise production and minimise cost;
    * Developing operational philosophies and/or procedures as required for operations or project works;
    * Conducting regular visits to operations locations to lead and supervise workscopes during peak activity levels;
    * Liaising with, and co-ordinating, specialist vendor support for offshore (compressors, subsea controls, etc).
    * Providing or ensuring the provision of, engineering support as required by in country operations - e.g. analysis of failures/downtime, troubleshooting, optimisation, operator aids etc.;


    Regular travel to West Africa and other overseas locations will be part of this role

    ROTATING EQUIPMENT ENGINEER

    Qualification/Experience:
    • Engineering degree with a minimum of 10 - 20 years of experience in oil and gas environments or equivalent experience.
    • Mechanical, reliability, facility, or rotating equipment engineering experience with an operations or maintenance background.
    • Fundamental skills in fluid dynamics, energy conversion, dynamic response and vibration applied to machinery and equipment. Knowledge of RR Avons/RB211 s and Solar turbines would be beneficial. Use of Video images coping equipment and interpretation of images is desired.

    Basic Purpose:
    Responsible for the technical support and reliability of all Rotating/Mechanical Equipment (turbo machinery, pumps, compressors, engines, cranes, etc.) in COPI both onshore and offshore. Ensure rotating equipment maintenance strategies are in alignment with plant operating strategies.


    OFFSHORE SERVICE ENGINEER

    Qualification & Experience:
    • BS in Mechanical (preferred) or Instrument engineering with strong in instrument and mechanical system.
    • At least 3 years experience in maintenance and operation of NDT, boroscope inspection and alignment, gas turbine control, compressor control, PLC, DCS, SCADA, protection system and other instrumentation.
    • Familiar with oil and gas process operation and maintenance. Experience in Offshore oil & gas facility is preferred.
    • Familiar with gas turbine, compressor and major rotating equipment.

    Basic Purpose:
    • To ensure offshore compression and power generation units are maintained at high quality and operated optimum condition by providing guidance and direction to Offshore Maintenance and Operation personnel.
    • To observe visually condition and performance of offshore compression and power generation units.
    • To minimize unscheduled shutdown of offshore compression and power generation units by doing immediate troubleshooting.
    • To execute recommendation or instruction given by Performance Monitoring team.
    • To inspect, analyze/ interpret and report condition of gas turbines and major/ critical rotating equipment.
    • To provide QA/QC for major/ critical rotating equipment work at site (onshore and offshore) or at workshop.
    • To develop and coach Maintenance personnel to be fully aware with high quality inspection.
    • Position was put in place to replace Rolls Royce Offshore Service Engineers (under LTSA contract) with national COPI staff.

    Lab Technician
    Ensure compliance with Operating Principles, EHS requirements and initiatives, and all procedures requirements.     Chemistry graduated (D3 or S-1) with more than 5 years experience in Oil, Gas and Water Laboratory. Having good knowledge on some Lab equipments such as Gas Chromatography, UV Spectrophorometer, TOG Infrared, X-Ray and Natgas/ Crude Oil/ LPG Analyzer, Familiar with ISO 17025 system and EHS policy of Oil & Gas Plant.

    Production Operator

    Control and monitor platform production operations to meet daily production targets whilst complying with company guidelines and legal requirements.
    Technical diploma (Preferred) major in engineering, Minimum 6 years experience in oil and gas industry. Knowledgeable of WHP/CPP/AUP process facilities. Ability to conduct Operations Process upset – Trouble Shooting, familiar to operate DCS system, production optimization. Preparing Safe working place for maintenance and contractors. Understand reservoir and able to demonstrate well test. Experience drilling SIMOP and work-over activities.

    Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument Technician
    Following directions from the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that operating parameters for mechanical/electrical/instrument equipment are met.
    Technical diploma (Preferred) major in Engineering. Minimum 5 years experience in petroleum industry or 10 years other relevant experience. Good hands on experience with a variety of mechanical/ electrical/ instrumentation equipments. Knowledgeable of WHP/ CPP/ AUP production facilities, familiar with risk assessment and Hazardous Areas Classifications and its installations.

    Offshore Installation Manager (OIM)
    Manage the Pangkah Offshore Production facilities, both personnel and the production processing facilities in achieving operational excellence according to standards.
    Engineering degree 15+ years offshore facility operations experience with 5+ years of leading a team of multi-skilled personnel, preferably in a senior position. Prior QIM, projects and/or offshore commissioning or subsea and marine logistics experience are desireable. Experience of SIMOP, budgeting and well intervention experience Commercial experience and awareness able to directly liase with Government official.

    Integrity & Reliability Team Lead
    Lead a team of multi discipline experts to manage and improve the Integrity and Reliability of a growing facility.
    Bachelor s degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering with minimum of 15 years relevant experience of which 5 should have been in senior leadership role. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous Exploration and Production experience.

    Facilities Engineering Team Lead
    Lead a team of multi discipline experts that are charged with providing engineering supports to a growing facility.
    Bachelor s degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering. The candidate should have a minimum of 15 years relevant experience of which 5 should have been in a senior leadership role. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous Exploration and Production experience.

    Instrument Engineer
    Provide instrument engineer support to a growing offshore and onshore Production Operation.
    Bachelor s degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering with min. of 12 years experience in a similar role. Innovation and flexible approach to problem solving, coupled with a strong knowledge of instrumentation design, operation and maintenance. Knowledge of metering systems would be an advantage. Experience in Exploration and Production is preferred.

    Shutdown Planner
    Provide advice and support on shutdown and turnaround planning to maximize the offshore and onshore operations efficiency. Note that this is not a maintenance planning role, shutdown planning experience is essential.
    Engineer degree (preferred) or Technical diploma (considered) major in Industrial, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical engineering. Minimum of 10 years experience in shutdown and turnaround planning. Knowledge of gas plant and offshore operations desired.

    Pipeline/ Corrosion Engineer
    Serve as a hands on technical advisor providing specialized engineering assistance for activities relating to all phase of corrosion management such as; recommend standards, methods, designs and procedures for specialized chemical & integrity processes.
    Bachelor s degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering with minimum 7 years experience in a similar role and will be expected to exhibit technical competence in areas of risk based inspection assessments, material specifications, metallurgy, cathodic protection, coatings and chemical treatment. Have a strong knowledge of the operation and maintenance of hydrocarbon carrying pipelines. Familiar with pigging routines an be prepared to plan and lead an extensive intelligent pigging program.

    Facility Engineer
    Provide Facility Engineering support to a growing offshore and onshore Production Operation. Main responsibilities would include; Providing Facility Engineering assistance and direction to the Operations and Maintenance teams, Optimizing operation s performance by implementing facility improvements, Following international standard s for facility design and operation.

    Operations Engineer
    Provide engineering support to a growing offshore and onshore Production Operation. Main responsibilities would include; optimization of field performance through increased production volumes and reduced costs, preparation of cost estimates and budgets, preparing and executing well intervention work.
    Bachelor s degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering with experience 2-5 years in an oil and gas operation. Familiar with the basic steps involved with producing and transporting oil and gas and preferably have some experience of well intervention operations.

    Upgrade Planning Coordinator
    To prepare plans for facilities upgrades in conjunction with ongoing operational needs. Set up the project plan, milestones and integrate and coordinate with all relevant parties.
    University graduate with major degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering, with 5-10 years experience in plant maintenance within petroleum industry. Must have experience in construction and project management. Experience in use of SAP and MS Project preferred.

    Offshore Maintenance Superintendent
    Maintenance planning and implementation for all Offshore Pangkah facilities to maximize uptime and to deliver highest value to stakeholder without compromise to Safe Operating Principals.
    Engineering degree (preferred), +10 years experience in petroleum industry. Previous experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning of Oil and Gas processing plant desirable. Experience in managing a multi discipline & multi-tasking in the Oil and Gas Operations. Proficient in maintenance of Gas Turbines, generators and WHP/CPP/AUP associated process and safety equipments. Capable in terms of the maintenance management of Oil & Gas Processing Facility.

    EHS Offshore Engineer
    Responsible EH&S matters, providing a support function to the project, offshore operations and engineering team. Promotes the use of professional EH&S tools, principles and objectives include managing a multi-tasking and contractors workforce in the Oil and Gas processing operations.
    Engineering degree preferred, the ideal candidate will have experience with safety, processing, mechanical and electrical equipment as well as be able to support teamwork and safety operations. 10 years HS&E experience in petroleum industry, subsea pipeline and in a similar EH&S engineer/ advisor role. A broad knowledge of the principle EHS legislative requirements in oil and gas offshore industry. Experience in pre-comm and commissioning of Oil and Gas processing plant desirable.

    Offshore Maintenance Planner

    Providing Planning and Scheduling services as required by the Maintenance Superintendent, within a multi-disciplined team providing operations and maintenance for Pangkah.
    Engineering degree (preferred) or Technical diploma (considered) major in Instrumentation, Mechanical or Electrical engineering +6 years experience in petroleum industry. Experience in using computerized maintenance system and electronic planning application of Oil and Gas processing plant. Experience in managing a multi discipline and multi-tasking maintenance workforce in the Oil and Gas processing operation. Proficient in maintenance SAP PM module super user experience and developing maintenance contract are desirable.

    Metering Technician

    To ensure good and smooth operability and maintainability of all custody metering systems.
    Technical Diploma with 8 years relevant experience or 5 years for Bachelor Degree holder. Familiar and qualified to perform flow measurement calculations, has very good hands-on knowledge on flow meters (orifice, turbine, ultrasonic), flow computer, gas chromatograph, prover, recorder, etc. Understand how volume is calculated based on API, MPMS, AGA, and ISO.

    Our Ujung Pangkah development offshore East Java is vital component of that strategy. The Phase 1 gas development came on stream in April, 2007 and the Phase 2 oil development is underway. We are now looking for a range of experienced professionals to contribute in making Ujung Pangkah an outstanding success and build an exciting career in our global business.

    Offshore positions

    These Offshore positions will be 14 days on 14 days off offshore rotational positions. However during the project construction phase these positions will be onshore based either in Gresik or Jakarta. The selected candidates must be willing to travel.

    ► OFFSHORE PLANNER (2 POSITIONS)

    Provide Planning and Scheduling services as required by the Maintenance Superintendent, within a multi-disciplined, multi tasking team providing operations and maintenance support for Offshore Pangkah Operations Develop, monitor and maintain an optimized maintenance work execution plans to meet safety, cost, quality and schedule using the approved maintenance and operation strategy and the Computerized Maintenance Management System.

    Technical diploma major in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering with at least 6 years experience as a Planner/Scheduler using computerized maintenance system and electronic planning applications. SAP planned maintenance module super user experience desirable.

    ► OFFSHORE INSTALLATION MANAGER (2 POSITIONS)

    Manage the Pangkah PSC Offshore Production facilities, with overall responsibility for the performance of Operating and Maintenance personnel and the maintenance and performance of the production processing equipment on the facilities in achieving operational excellence according to Company and Industry standards. You will lead the offshore crisis management and emergency response team.

    Engineering degree, preferably Petroleum, Industrial or Chemical Engineering with 15 years Offshore facility operations experience with 5+ years of leading or directly supervising a multi-skilled team.

    ► OFFSHORE PLANT SUPERINTENDENT (2 POSITIONS)

    Manage, plan and lead a team of Production Operators in executing safely and efficiently the start up and ongoing optimum operation of the offshore Pangkah central and remote platform process and utility equipment, and associated oil and gas production wells to maximize facility uptime and production volumes. You will be also an integral member of the Offshore Crisis Management Team.

    These Superintendent positions require Engineering degree in Petroleum, Industrial or Chemical Engineering or Technical diploma (considered) with more than 10 years experience in petroleum industry (offshore and onshore) and have offshore experience in a similar management role. Previous experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning of Oil and Gas processing plant desirable. Have experience in managing a multi-tasking workforce in the Oil and Gas processing operation.

    ► OFFSHORE MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT (2 POSITIONS)
