    Qatalum is the largest Greenfield Aluminium project ever to be executed. The project is a 50/50 Joint Venture between Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Hydro. When the plant comes in operation in late 2009 it will be one of the largest and most competitive primary aluminium plants in the world, with a production capacity of 585,000 MT per year. The smelter-, casthouse, carbon and 1.350 MW power plant will employ between 1100 - 1200 people. The plant is located at Mesaieed in Qatar, some 40 kilometers from the capital Doha. We are currently looking for highly qualified staff to join us in building this world-class organization.

    HV Rectifiers Technician
    Reporting to the Rectifier Engineer and responsible to undertake all scheduled / unscheduled work related to the Rectifier Systems.
    Requirements: 5-10 years experience with High Voltage equipment, Relevant technical qualifications and experience with Rectifiers

    HV Operations Technicians
    Reporting to the HV Distribution Superintendent and responsible for the operation of Qatalums HV Distribution and Rectifier Systems
    Requirement: 5 -10 years experience with operating high voltage distribution, rectifiers and utilities

    HV Distribution technicians
    Reporting to the HV Distribution Superintendent responsible to perform all scheduled ft unscheduled work within the NV Distribution Systems
    Requirement: 5 -10 years experience with operating high voltage distribution, rectifiers and utilities

    HV Electrical Technician
    Reporting to the NV Planner and responsible to execute all scheduled/unscheduled work across Qatalums HV Distribution & Rectifiers Systems
    Requirements: 5 -10 years experience with high voltage distribution equipment with well developed diagnostic ft maintenance skills on a variety of high voltage electrical systems such as process control of large capacity rectifier systems, NV.

    High Voltage Distribution Planner
    Reporting to the HV Distribution Manager and fully responsible for alt aspects of planning of the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work activities for the HV Distribution Department
    Requirements: 3-5 years maintenance planning and scheduling experience within a power plant environment

    Maintenance Superintendent
    Reporting to Power Plant Maintenance Manager and fully responsible for leading the EC&I Maintenance team to upkeep all aspects of EC&I maintenance in Qatalum s Power Plant
    Requirements: 5 -10 Years experience in a power plant environment preferably in large combined cycle generation, Ability to methodically think through technical problems

    Electrical and C&I Engineer
    The Electrical and Control Systems Engineer position reports to the Power Group Engineering Manager and is responsible for providing technical support for all the Electrical and Control Systems within Qatalums & HV Distribution System Power Plant.
    Requirements: 5 -10 Years Combined Cycle Power Plant operational or commissioning experience with well developed investigative and statistical data analysis skills

    Overhauls Superintendent
    The Overhauls Superintendent position reports to the Power Group Engineering Manager and responsible for the Preparation, Execution, Control and Technical completion of the Power Plant Overhauls.
    Requirements: 5 -10 Years Combined Cycle Power Plant operational or commissioning experience with well developed investigative and statistical data analysis skills with strategic thinking being an advantage.
