    Senior Scientist Mineral Processing

    We are seeking a Senior Scientist to develop our mineral processing research (see: http://en.gtk.fi/research2/program/processing/ ). We have unique research facilities including a pilot plant (see: http://en.gtk.fi/research2/infrastructure/laboratory/ ) In addition to your own research you should lead development of GTK's mineral processing expertise, customer oriented applications and domestic and international networks. We expect the applicants to be experienced and highly motivated with interests and demonstrated experience in research on mineral processing, such as, comminution, flotation, gravity/magnetic separation, leaching and process modelling as well as operations with materials recycling. We appreciate the plant operations experience. The post calls for a person with the ability to work cooperatively and to create stakeholder relations, as well as fluency in English.

    Applicants must have at least a M.Sc. in mineral processing related engineering. The position is based at our office in Outokumpu town in Eastern Finland. It starts on 1 September 2010 and carries a monthly salary of EUR 3,900 to 4,700 depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include a workweek of 36 hours with daily flexibility, five weeks annual holidays and State health care and pension plan. This is a permanent position.
