    Mechanical Engineering Technical Authority

    Job Description
    • Act as a BU Technical Authority in the area of static mechanical engineering discipline; responsible for approval of Company s standard technical specifications/deviations, promoting discipline functional excellence. Additionally advise BU management and supervisors on development needs and framework for the BU ME community.
    • Support other disciplines to identify and evaluate optimum field development scenarios.
    • Lead stationary equipment (Pressure Vessel, Storage Tank, Heat Exchanger, etc.) and piping design within a BU community of MEs inclusive of calculation checks if necessary.
    • Provide consultation and analysis of detailed construction and internals design and attachment for stationary equipment design.
    • To lead evaluation of the piping & equipment lay out, and Isometric drawing and participate in determining Mechanical integrity (fitness for service).
    • Coordinate all aspect of Mechanical design requirements including the compilation of scopes of work and specifications to evaluate optimum field development scenario for conceptual and FEL development.
    • Interface with contractors, technical teams to integrate development plans with existing facilities for complex bid packages.
    • Review and provide input into the preparation of AFE package, Scope of work, Cost Estimate and JSA to ensure adequacy and completeness.
    • Interface with the Regulators, government agencies and other project stakeholders as required in facilitating design and permitting reviews.
    • Coordinate preparation of Technical Bid Evaluations and recommend bidders; Co-ordinate in-house technical design reviews and document distribution.
    • Responsible for the review and assessment of the cost and schedule information.
    • Technical Mentor for less experience engineers.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
    • Able to lead activities and develop networks outside the team.
    • Familiar with Corporate ME resources and active member of relevant NoEs.
    • Experienced in operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment in oil & gas production environment.
    • Experienced in small project management and execution strategies/tools.
    • Skilled / Mastery Level of Mechanical Engineering competencies that included:
    • Fundamental ME Principles Materials used in Static Equipment (metallic, plastics, and composites) Piping Systems.
    • Unfired Pressure Vessels Fired Equipment – Boilers and Heaters Atmospheric Storage Tanks Heat Exchangers Heating.
    • Ventilation and Cooling System. Safety Systems. Operation and Maintenance. Team Player.
    • Fully conversant with Company and Industry Standards, Codes, Practices in the ME discipline.

    Senior Process Engineer

    • Provide Process Engineering support, guidance and assistance to the Operation Team in all matters relating to facility engineering design and operability issues, with a strong emphasis on value adding activities and risk minimization.
    • To ensure that the assigned Process System and Equipment modification or projects works are executed in an expedient, cost effective, safe manner and in compliance with the Engineering Standards and International Codes.
    • Assist Operation and Project Departments for developing operating procedure, as well as commissioning and start up procedure for production facilities.
    • Prepare all aspect of process design requirements including the compilation of scopes of work and specifications for conceptual and FEL development.
    • Responsible for the review and assessment of the cost and schedule information.

    Job Requirement

    • Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, with at least 10 years of experience in oil and gas facilities or petrochemical plant.
    • Demonstrated ability in the use of Process Engineering tools/ Process Simulators and Computer Models, including HYSIS, PIPESIM, and equipment rating programs.
    • Experience on Drafting of Operating Instructions/ Standard Operating Procedure.
    • Working Knowledge of Process Engineering work which included: Process Control, Fundamental Theory / Principle, Project Process Engineering / Design, Engineering Drawings and Documentation, Exploration and Production.
    • Strong technical/engineering skills with a working knowledge of applicable Codes and Standards plus a general understanding of other discipline activities.
    • Experience on Drafting of Operating Instructions/ Standard Operating Procedure.
    • Good knowledge on Process Safety Management.
    • Experience with Process Evaluations/ analysis.

    Development Geologist

    The primary roles for the candidate will be to team with Geophysicist and Reservoir Engineer within the asset to perform reservoir characterization studies and modeling in our company, and to interact with the Well Planning team providing advice on placement of wells in the active and continuous development drilling program.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify, recommend and deliver geological modeling studies to advance our understanding of the reservoir characteristics of current and future gas fields.
    • Conduct fracture characterization studies, including image log interpretation and analysis, to improve the predictions of fracture controls on permeability.
    • Interface with reservoir engineers, petrophysicists and geophysicists in updating the reservoir characterization and reservoir geomodels to improve the history match of the reservoir flow models and high grade opportunities and optimize the development plan.
    • Analyze reservoir uncertainties and risks relevant to assessment of development well locations.
    • Compile post-audit data on development well results in comparison to pre-drill predictions.
    • Interface with our Company Subsurface Technology and industry to identify new technologies to advance our reservoir characterizations.
    • Identifying prospects and proposes drillable locations through a peer review process. Developing detailed well plans and fully supporting an aggressive drilling program within a multi-discipline team.
    • Conduct mentoring to less experience geologist.

    Basic requirement

    • BSc degree required in Geology (Preferably Master Degree).
    • At least 3-5 years experience experience as a development geologist.
    • Exposure to geological model software Strong written and oral communication English skills.
    • Able to work in a national business setting and support remote operations users technical applications environment.
    • Good teamwork, creative problem solving, and people networking skills.
