    Our client is the developer and owner of a Coal Terminal which is an independent common user terminal located on East Kalimantan Province.

    Project General Manager for Coal Terminal

    IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILES:

    He has minimum hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other engineering management related field. And have fifteen (15) years of related experience with a history of direct supervision or management of staff.
    Experienced manager of large scale construction projects with the ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in diverse communities
    The candidate must have a strong record of building, managing, leading, and motivating project teams and individuals across multiple projects, tasks, and locations simultaneously. Coordinating work assignments and conducting performance evaluations.
    The candidate must have knowledge of construction means, methods and safety as well as engineering principles, applicable codes, and regulations is critical. He must posses experience with the components and tools of project management, including feasibility studies, budgeting, costing analysis, value engineering, change orders, and constructability
    He also must have experienced for dispute resolution and construction claims including tiered resolution, mediation, and arbitration. In addition, he must be able to analyze and negotiate major construction claims.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Project General Manager, reporting to the Board of Director, will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of project activities for the development of The Coal Terminal Project.
    He will oversee 5 Managers with responsibility for a team of 20 to 100 experienced engineers and inspectors, both full time employees and consultants.
    He will manage and oversee the daily issues of construction projects, maintaining strong relationship with both internal and external parties, staff and contractors. He must monitor, analyze, and/or report on various components of projects, including cost, schedules, assets, budgets, staffing and team performance.
    He will involve in contract administration and negotiating with contractors, vendors and various interest groups. He will also involve in the selection of contractors, engineering firms, and other advisor groups.
    He will involve in recruiting and hiring new employees to the team and lead the team which is comprised of managers, engineers, and inspectors with good experience and specialized skill sets. He needs to build relationship with the team members and maintain morale throughout the group, disseminating timely and accurate information using multiple communication channels.
