    This position will be based in our Petroleum Reservoir and Economics Group in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.

    The purpose of this role is to perform petrophysical formation evaluations for single and multiple well log suites using Geolog or similar petrophysical software packages. The successful applicant will also work within integrated reservoir studies and field development teams to integrate formation evaluation results with geological and geophysical reservoir characterisation. This will ultimately lead to the creation of static reservoir and simulation models.

    The post holder will also:

    * Provide petrophysical evaluation of rock physics for the geophysical team for seismic inversion and AVO modelling.
    * Take part in asset evaluations, reviewing (within a short time frame) petrophysical evaluations performed by other petrophysicists (in oil companies or consultancies).
    * Undertake independent wireline log evaluation for single-well studies and asset valuations.
    * Perform multi-well petrophysical evaluations as part of integrated field development studies.

    Requirements:

    Applicants will need to demonstrate that they have the following qualifications and competencies:

    * A Bachelors Degree in Geology, Physics or Engineering (a Masters degree would also be desirable).
    * Experience of in-depth, independent petrophysical evaluations of a wide range of reservoirs.
    * Familiarity with petrophysical evaluation software such as Geolog, Powerlog or equivalent packages.
    * Proven technical skills and IT literacy.
    * Fluency in both oral and written English (an eye for detail is essential for effective communication with clients and for the preparation and delivery of presentations and reports).
