    Job Vacancy PT Fircroft Indonesia; Planning Engineer

    PT Fircroft Indonesia is currently recruiting a number of technical engineers, technologists as well as support staff for the oil and gas sector. We are now searching for the following position:

    Job Title : Planning Engineer
    Location : Jakarta
    Duration : Contract
    Nationality requirement : Indonesian

    Our client is an international oil and gas exploration and operating company with significant interests in Indonesia. Our client has a project which will commence towards the end of 2009 with an expected duration of more than 3 years

    The Role
    • Develop level 0/1 plans for the overall project,
    • Assists engineers in the use of project planning software and in the general aspects of work management,
    • Maintain all plans in readiness for monthly reporting,
    • Ensure that all interface issue are recorded, agreed and reviewed on a weekly basis,
    • Ensure that all short term critical tasks are reviewed on a weekly basis,
    • Responsible for all planning aspects of a multi dollar project,
    • Deputise for the head of project services,
    • Develop project procedures, methods and norms for scheduling, planning reporting and risk management,
    • Develop the planning modules of an integrated work management system,
    • Develop a hierarchic and auditable set of level 3/2 plans for the project scope of work,
    • Develop level 1/2 plans for the next phase,
    • In conjunction with the contacts engineer develop and maintain the project contracts plan,
    • Develop and maintain the internal and eternal project reports,
    • Develop and maintain the project diary,
    • Assist in the development and maintaining of the project cost estimates,
    • Maintain close liaison with the client on all planning matters,
    • Review the requirement of early risk analysis tools to evaluate offshore operations,
    • Ensure that all plans are realistic and fully challenged prior to management submission.

    Essential skills and qualifications
    • Experience in onshore and offshore petro-chemical or oil and gas projects for at least 7 years,
    • Knowledge of all phases associated with projects,
    • Experience in supervising cost/planning engineers,
    • Experience in working direct or indirectly for a major oil company,
    • Experience in preparing estimates/plans at all stages of a project, eg from screening stage to control stage.

    Strongly desired skills
    • Candidates with experience of working directly for oil and gas exploration and operating companies,
    • Candidates with experience of working on both FPSO and LNG projects from design stage through to construction, commissioning and operations.
